It’s about to get real, mama. This is vulnerability at its finest.
With my two oldest babies I was quick — too quick, in fact — to get back into the gym after their births (I’ll be sure to share my postpartum recovery stories another time). I pushed myself each and every day to lose the weight and to get back into a healthy fitness routine.
This time it has been different. Since having my youngest daughter, I have learned to embrace my current season of life. I have been focusing on making the most of each nightly feeding and midnight snuggle. Instead of exercising, I sleep or get work done when she sleeps. I make sure my household is run well and that my two older kids are happy and healthy. Lately, my self-care has looked like: Using my favorite hair masks, doing my makeup, and spending way too much time online shopping.
Let’s just say my health and fitness journey hasn’t been my top priority. Or a priority at all, for that matter.
The weeks of meal planning and prepping are long gone and I have eaten drive-thru food more often than I am proud to admit. My health hasn’t been a priority and I know that it’s time for a change.
Over the next sixteen weeks, I will be sharing my thoughts, feelings, goals, results, victories, and failures. Not only will I be bringing you along with me on my weight loss journey, but I would love for you to join me on this adventure! I’m excited to not only get back into a healthy routine but to also bring you along on my journey!
I have prepped my kitchen and home as best I know how. This includes:
- Throwing away all sweets, snacks, and unhealthy foods.
- Organizing my pantry with healthiest foods front and center.
- Downloaded Beyond the White Board (BTWB) app
- Created a meal plan for the upcoming week
- Cooking chicken breast and making chicken salad
- Washed my favorite workout leggings
- Cleaned and organized my garage gym
- Scheduled my CrossFit classes for the week
