One of the most important thing we can do, as mamas, is to instill confidence and independence into our children. They should know, at even a young age, they are capable and strong; that their help is valuable and they are important.

When my third baby was born, I quickly realized how challenging it would be to keep up on everything around the house while my husband was working. Between daily tasks and picking up after my two older kids; it was too much. I needed a way to hold my two older kids accountable for the tasks I knew they were capable of doing, while also creating a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.

Right now, I have a feeling there may be a lot of parents feeling this exact way. You’re used to your kids being at school and suddenly they are home with you, making messes and creating more for you to do. With this in mind, I went to my Instagram stories and asked if anyone would be interested in this daily expectations chart I created. I WAS SHOCKED at the overwhelming response I had from other mamas requesting it. So, I’m thrilled to bring these to you!

Each chart contains the following:

Get dressed
Brush teeth
Eat breakfast
Take dishes to sink/load dishwasher
School work, creative play
Lunch time
Take dishes to sink/load dishwasher
Clean up before dinnertime
Take dishes to sink/load dishwasher
Put on pajamas/bath time on bath nights
Brush teeth before bed

I recommend laminating these charts so they can easily be used as dry erase sheets. This is my favorite laminator and dry erase markers with erasers. Also, don’t forget your laminating sheets!

I know this time is a challenge and I know this season of life is unexpected, stressful, and maybe even chaotic. But I also know you can do this! If you are feeling overwhelmed with teaching your child, I have written out my top 10 ways to make schooling at home a success. I pray something as small as this simple chart can bring a little routine and normalcy to your day.

You’ve got this mama!
